Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP) Live Interactive Info Session
Description
We invite you to join us!
On Tuesday January 10th at 3pm EST, please join us for an informational webinar to answer specific questions you may have about our program and the application process.
The Mount Sinai Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP) is designed to be a bridge between undergraduate and PhD or MD/PhD programs. Our program consists of 1-2 years of mentored research, PhD-level coursework, full-time research experience, intensive mentorship and an enriching seminar series (topics include science communication, presentation skills, mock interviewing, works-in-progress) to prepare you to be future researchers and physician-scientists. Mount Sinai PREP is also specifically targeted to scholars who are underrepresented in science and medicine. With our program being the oldest consecutively funded PREP program in the country (102 scholars have completed our program), our scholars have access to an extensive network of alumni, most of whom have successful careers in medicine and biomedicine (67% have gone on to pursue PhD or MD/PhD training)
The 2023-2024 cohort will begin in August 2023. PREP scholars receive a monthly stipend and housing is available in Aron Hall, which is across the street from our main campus.
The Mount Sinai PREP program is currently accepting applications until February 1, 2023. Eligible applicants should be US citizens, recent college or university graduates and provide undergraduate transcripts, standardized test scores, a personal statement and two letters of recommendation.
